When Comiskey Park opened in
1910, it was known as the Baseball Palace of the World. It was constructed of
steel
and concrete with brick facade. It was the place where the tradition of playing
the Star Spangled Banner began (in 1918)
and the home of the first exploding scoreboard (1960). The most famous names in
baseball history played on its field -
Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Lou Gehrig. Home of the infamous 1919 "Black Sox" and
the 1959 American League Champion
"Go - Go Sox." In 1990 Comiskey Park was demolished. These
Comiskey Park cufflinks
are made from the
original wooden seats.
Set in solid sterling silver at a 45 degree angle like a
baseball diamond.

Busch
Stadium opened in 1966 as home to the St. Louis Cardinals and was home to the
All Star Game in its first year.
It was constructed with plastic seating with the exception of the bleacher
benches which were made of Douglas Fir.
In 1987, all of the original seats were replaced, again with the exception of
the wooden bleachers which were left intact.
In 2005 the old stadium was demolished and re-opened in 2006. These Busch
Stadium cufflinks are made from
the original wooden bleachers
that were eventually removed before demolition. Set in solid sterling silver at a 45
degree angle like a
baseball diamond. Approximately 9/16" square. All baseball stadium seat cufflinks
are boxed with a

RFK Stadium was built in 1961 as
home to the Washington Redskins football team. The Washington Senators moved
there the following year, until they moved to Texas following the 1971 season.
Currently home to the Nationals, RFK
underwent renovations in 2004. These RFK Stadium cufflinks are made from the original
wooden seats, and are set in solid
sterling silver at a 45 degree angle like a
baseball diamond. Approximately 9/16" square. All cufflinks
are boxed with numbered authenticity
card and historical information.


" Shea Stadium Cufflinks " Item # 57SH

Built in 1964, the $25.5M
dollar stadium is home of the Mets. Originally to be called
Flushing Meadow Park, but later changed to the popular attorney, William A Shea,
who
spearheaded the drive to bring National League baseball back to New York
following the
departure of the Dodgers and Giants back in 1957. Shea Stadium is
scheduled for closure in 2008.
The seats are unusual in that they are plastic, but a unique piece of history
regardless of the material.

" Notre Dame Cufflinks " Item # 57N

Notre Dame Football Stadium was
designed by The Osborn Engineering Company, which had also designed
have compiled an impressive 243-70-5 (.772) while an average of 52,219
spectators have watched. In 1997 Notre Dame Stadium
underwent a renovation and expansion, which included the removal of all the
original seats. These Notre Dame Stadium cufflinks are made
from the original 1930 wooden seats, and are set in solid sterling silver.
Approximately 9/16" square.
All cufflinks are boxed with a numbered authenticity
card and historical information.
